So it's time to do some updates. The last few i've got some help for are running beautifully, so i'm here again.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Home File Server - Streaming between multiple devices, ps3, xbox, ipad, etc.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

I currently have an ASUS A8N-E, 3GB RAM, AMD Athlon 64 3500 @ 2.2ghz, ATI Radeon 2600 Pro.

THe primary function of this PC is my lil home file server. I got it kinda jerry rigged because 2 fans have died, and some other things. So i'm trying to
upgrade to some more stability for the wife if i am gone. I remote in to keep it updated, move files, download, etc. So video isn't a huge deal.
I would like to stick with ASUS and Intel. They haven't let me down yet.

That motherboard is pretty much overkill for your needs. You should be fine with this mobo:

As for the CPU, I'd recommend the Core i3 3220 since it's slightly faster and uses slightly less power:
$124 - Intel Core i3-3220 CPU

RAM wise, that 8GB set is overpriced. You should not pay more than $50 for 8GB of RAM. That 16GB set is overkill. You should be fine with 4GB of RAM actually unless you're planning on running Virtual Machines or switching to ZFS.

What interface does that 4 port RAID controller use?

Since you aren't overclocking you really don't need to spend money on the Hyper 212+. Just use the stock HSF.
 
Seems i messed up my links. I like the hyper 212 cuz its quiet and i've used about 4 of them. But we will see.
I can agree with the board cpu change. I'd rather have a faster cpu and pretty basic board.
I'll look into the RAM a bit more
The sata card is PCI Express. Right now I have 2 drives connected to it.
