Serious Sam 3 trailer!!!

Looks like Counter Strike Source on de_dust2

But looks really fun

I love SS1 and 2. So much epic horde battles in those games.

sometimes repetitive but always a great laugh.

I'm curious to see what the system requirements for this will be. Looks like the graphics have been upgraded a lot and with all the serious action and serious number of enemies, it looks like this might be a fairly demanding game. I cannot wait - one of my favorite franchises. :)

I can't remember the last time I've done it, but this will be a day 1 purchase for me.

Yeah, and here's the intie to go with the trailer: http://pc.ign.com/articles/117/1171651p1.html... good info.

Destructible environments, full co-op modes, weapon info etc.

Game looks killer, cant wait!
This is my favorite part:

IGN: Was there any discussion about adding shooter mechanics like a cover system or regenerative health to the game, or would that be blasphemous?

Roman Ribaric: Cover system??? Regenerating health??? You can't be Serious!

Haha!

I simply cannot get over how AWESOME this thing looks in addition to the fun gameplay we know it will have.

WANT!

Edit:

LOL, "shooter mechanics". As far as I can tell those are console mechanics. I'v been PC gaming long enough to know that up until recently you had a health bar, and when it was gone, you're dead. Period. It's nice to see real PC games still being made.

Fuck yeah, PC exclusive? Day one. Release a stupid collector's edition, I'll buy it to toss these bastards a few extra dollars.

Vote with your wallet.

I'll be right there with you. Maximum whoring options from the word "go." :D

I prefer hit point based health systems over the regen system. I like to know how much life I have instead of some heavy breathing, or some overused shader effects telling me that If I get hit again im done for.

Day one purchase for me.

I like how it says "no cover, all man" and the next shot is of him behind a wall :D

This looks like it should be good, especially for those not really into "realistic" shooters. Kind of reminds me of DNF...

It will be a nice change from all those semi-realistic shooters out there.

Ultra fast action FTW. Super fun.

God it looks like they kept all the great aspects of the originals but added so much more. I'm as excited about this as I am for DNF now.

I just told a co worker to cram an egg mcmuffin up his asshole after he told me that serious sam sucked.

I hope it doesn't take itself seriously like it the graphics make it seem. that was the beauty of the SS first and second encounter. SS2 on the other hand was a pile of shit.

the first SS just had a perfect blend of silliness and a sort of seriousness.

Could be the best of both worlds here. Amazing graphics and wild ass fun. :)

Serious Sam was always on the brink of technology. When the first and second encounters were released (back in DX7 days), they looked amazing, despite the silly and fun factors of the game. Having great graphics, does not make a game any less silly and fun, especially in the context of the "story" in serious sam.

I'm pretty sure it's the same thing with SS3. Amazing graphics and the same silliness across the board.

I loved the originals, i bought the "HD" versions when they were on deal. May have to invest in this too

this has nothing to do with the graphics, it has to do with the style or the graphics.

What I didn't like about the first SS was the messaging system. What was the point? The story is a joke, so who cares about monster facts. The facts don't even provide anything useful like a weak spot or weapon vulnerability or something, nor do they have any funny text in them. Was annoying that I kept getting the "new message" pop up so often without any point. I don't think people play SS for the interesting lore =/
