I only buy Seasonic PSU's and I look for quality and modular cables. I rely on HardOCP among others to point me in the right direction. I sure would love to have one of these bad boys!
Only for American Citizens ( I never gunna win anything from H at this rate )
I will toss my name in the hat and if I am lucky, I will give it to someone from the states who posted in this thread
What I look for in a psu is, it's performance. It must be extremely stable and efficient and quiet whilst having enough connections to satisfy the most ardent PC enthusiast.
Most of all, it MUST serve good clean power to my components, no point in having a power supply that is efficient if it isnt giving out clean power.
One thing that most modular psu lacks is they do not make the 24pin atx cable also modular as well as the pci-e cables. Another thing is the modular cables from the sata and molex are that connect to the PSU is the shape of pci-e connectors. Makes making custom cables easy unlike my corsair 620hx.
Hoping to pick up a Seasonic X-series since it has real modular cabling.
A solid supply, all of the circuit protections
OVP SCP UVP etc..
80+ is great but takes a spot behind rock solid voltage
Low turn on spikes
reliability and build quality
doesn;t hurt for it to look pretty matte black with gold highlights fits that bill imo
Let's see, I look for a 80 Plus Bronze or higher rating, high quality internals, modular cables, nice sleeving, and a good long warranty. No cheap shit for me!
