My 2600K still hasn't arrived so I want your [H] input on this.

Is anyone running overclocked on stock voltage (or 1.3v tops)? I just want a few extra mhz without the added heat and instability.

I also want to retain the variable turbo boost. By variable I mean different multipliers for each amount of active cores. Can you keep that and still overclock? On every review I've found theres no mention of 1-core turbo boost. How high can that go provided that your 4-core boost multiplier is only 4-5 higher than stock?

The m/b I'll be using is the Asus P8P67.

Right now I have the P8P67 Deluxe and I am up at 4.4GHz at 1.25 volts. I really don't want to go higher, but for benching and stuff I probably will go up to only 1.3 volts and try to make the most of it. As far as the turbo boost, I think once you start to up the multipliers from the standard 34 then i think this feature is turned off, correct me if I am wrong.

I was under the impression that Asus P67 boards achieve OC by tweaking the turbo boost multipliers. Which is good, this way you get the benefit of very low idle/low usage power.

Well my cpu idles at 1.6GHz and then goes up to 4.4 GHz when I start using my machine.
