1) What will you be doing with this PC?
Skyrim, Invoicing, web browsing, home videos, BR ripping
2) What's your budget?
No set budget, but id like to say 2k
3) Which country do you live in? Alberta, Canada
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? Fresh build, Case, CPU, Blu-ray, Cooler, video card, display, ssd, hd, PSU...
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Nothing
6) Will you be overclocking? Yes
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? As of now 1080 on 23"
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Today
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? Nothing is needed to be honest. I wont be running anything special, and have a network backup drive, so USB 3 isnt a be all end all
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? Yes Win7 64 from dead laptop.

With that out of the way, im after a silent build. So here are my throughts, ill leave a few blanks.
Ill be ordering from newegg.ca or , N C I X maybe tigerdirect.ca(i know its *s but you can figure it out)
Things im planning on:
2500K
MSI Z68A-GD65 G3 (why not go G3)
NH-D14
128GB M4 SSD
Silverstone Raven 2 Evo, then order a blank door from Silverstone to replace window door.

Things im unsure of
8-16GB of ram, depending on deal, and what will clear the NH-D14

Videocard, thinking an unlockable 6950, not sure if the diamond OC version is (it has reference cooler, and can be bought locally)

Hard drive, if I order from N C I X they dont carry spinpoints, and I have heard Cavier Blacks are loud.

Blu-ray drive, is a burner worth it, the price is pretty close, dont plan on burning any at this time

ASUS VE247H, good choice for gaming? Good color?

PSU, want a nice quality one, modual if reasonable to help with cooling. May add a second 6950 if the texture packs for skyrim etc need it with settings cranked.

keyboard and mouse ill grab locally.

I would not recommend Toxic HD 6950 on account of Sapphire's short warranty and crappy customer support. I'd recommend a HD 6950 from MSI if you want a chance at unlocking.

RAM wise, just make sure that the RAM is rated at 1.5V. Timings and speed really don't matter so you'll be fine with DDR3 1333 and CAS 9 RAM.

PSU wise, I recommend the Antec High Current Pro 850W PSU or the Corsair 850HX 850W Modular PSU if it costs significantly less than the Antec.

Hard drive wise, try to find this hard drive as it's faster than the Samsungs we've been recommendeding:
$65 - Hitachi Desktar 7K1000.D HDS721010DLE630 1TB SATA 6.0Gb/s Hard Drive

K maybe 2 of those instead. I'm going to be doing quite a bot of blu-ray rips as my son has trashed nearly all his DVDs. And I can stream to his tv hd quality. Which works out good as there is no disc to wreck then. So space will be a bit of a premium. But I think a few network drives will solve that.

Which MSIs are having a chance to unlock? The only one I see on my selected retailer is the Frozr II OC. Or I may just hound the local retailers for a reference.
