Hello,

on eBay I found SFF-8087 1x SAS => 4X SATA internal cable for approx 1/5 of the prices at the local store.

My question is if there are any quality difference between these cables and if it does, will the transferspeed (or other metrics) be worse than with expensive adaptec/lsi cable?

It'll be fine with no difference in specs.

I just bought this SFF-8087 for my LSI 9260 card.

I was looking at these, cheapest on ebay I could find, no problems?

Isn't the 3ware forward SFF-8087 to SATA/SAS break out cable like $15 at newegg?

And AFAIK if you buy a "Kit" that includes the cable it's @ 45.00-50.00 more.

Check out the differences between the LSI 9240-4i "kit" and "Single" units.

I purchased the "Kit" thinking there must be more differences than the "Single" unit but it looks like the cable is the only difference.

Maybe it's a Monster brand cable! LOL!
