I bit. A 5870 for $215 is hard to pass up. Thanks OP!

I did have a 4870 1gb, but gave it to my lil brother and using a 9800GT now. Tempted to get this, but something keeps telling me to wait.
That's a hot deal. But I'm holding off on buying any new cards until the 6900 series comes out.
Me too. I'm tempted by the feature set and efficiency of the 6870 but it doesn't seem like an economically sound choice right now especially faced with these kinds of deals on older hardware that performs better.
Hmmm, this or wait on a deal on the 470? This will replace a 9800gt for 19x10 resolution. I'm looking to play Just Cause 2, Diablo, maybe other RPGs.
So people who bit the first time, how much of an OC are you getting?
because people don't work during thanksgiving
most ordered these will be getting them starting tomorrow
Just wanted to give a little feedback after receiving my card.
I was hearing a lot about poor over clocking, so I wasn't expecting much. However I was able to get a 900/ 1300 overclock on this board, which had me quite surprised. I've only tested it in Cyrsis though (max settings/ 8xAA/ 1920x1200 and it ran quite good).
The cards temps at idle are 48*C at 45% fan speed. At load the card hasn't passed 73*C, but I can't remember the fan speed, it was below 60% though.
I'm a little concerned about the idle temp, but frankly it's well within acceptable limits. I actually reapplied new thermal paste which brought the idle temp down from 51*C.
The only real con I have is that the fan seems to squeal a tad bit when running at medium high speeds. I'll have to look into that some more.
All in all for $185 out of pocket I'm quite pleased.
What coupon code did you use to get this card for $185???

At that price it's not a bad idea. I can guarantee that you won't regret it.
