Samsung SyncMaster 710T 17" - Come with a DVI cable?

i was looking at that monitor also.
i am a gamer with no experience with lcds.
i have heard this monitor has no ghosting so i am not worried about that. what i am worried about is that i have an aging computer and with the latest games (farcry and most likely doom3) i can no longer run my games at 1280 x960. so if i have to play games at something lower than the native resolution will it look really bad?
far cry i have to run at 1024 x 768
doom 3, from what i have read, i may have to drop to 800 x 600

I have to play d3 at 1024x768 and it looks fine. I haven't tried 800x600 yet.
 
Doom 3 works sweet at 1024, just like Far Cry, i couldnt beleive the difference in colour quality compared to my old CTX CRT. This monitor rocks, no ghosting wat so ever!
 
The 710t does a fine job of interpolating, don't let it concern you. The only problems are with text, that can get sort of blurry, but it's not intolerable.
 
since the monitor aspect ratio is 5/4, if you run a game at 640x480 will it be slightly distorted, or will it put up black bars on the top and the bottom?
