Ridiculous explains it perfectly. The dark/gray uniformity looks like this, and its pretty much impossible to get at least somehow uniform image (and if you do, then you'll likely have dead pixels in turn). Looks like Samsung is using this model as a testball of what kind of crap consumers will accept.

Here is a quote from TFTCentral:
"Uniformity of the screen was pretty good, with only small areas of the screen extending beyond a 10% deviance threshold which we would consider decent."

I would consider that your experience was unlucky/bad batch.

TFTcentral reviewed the 32" model, it has better QC but uses PWM lighting.

C27H711, the 75Hz version of the C27HG70 also has the same uniformity problem. They just can't curve the 27" 1440p panels without ruining most of them.

The Samsung CF791 is also a 1440P VA panel 100Hz of the same vertical size. It also has a more aggressive 1500R curvature, and there are no complaints of uniformity.

White uniformity and other bright color uniformity are spot on, but when you display dark/grey stuff it becomes a joke. Look for user reviews and forum/youtube experiences, a handpicked review unit doesn't really tell much about how QC is.

So people get a curved VA gaming screen with ULMB and complain about backlight uniformity.

Feels like buying a Ferrari and complaining about poor gas mileage.

Either there are bad samples out there, or 3 review sites received cherry picked monitors.
