So my family's computer has about 4 users on it 2 of which (me and my bro) don't use because he at college and I have my own comp. I want to put folding at home on it but will it run regardless if my parent switch users, and regardles of which one logs on. Will running it as a service work? When I tried that it didn't want to start, when I started manually in Services. Sry for noob question.

BTW I used to fold for BFG but want to switch to Hardfolding, I changed my team number to 33 but my user stats still say BFG?

It is sufficient to run the client as a service to make sure it runs no matter what user is on. The first time you set it up to run as a service it does not start as one. Stopping the client and then starting it from the services menu will start it as a service then. A longer and more cumbersome way is to restart the system.

You will always show under BFG's stats since you folded under their team. The points you had there will not transfer over.

You will show up under the [H]orde after you turn in your first WU assigned to the [H]orde. Then you may need to give it up to a day to show you under our stats.

What it will show later as you under BFG's stats but not active since you have your team number changed to 33. All your points will then go under team 33 and it will show you as active there.

Yes, if you configure the console version to run as a service, it should start when windows starts up, no matter who is logged on (you don't even have to have a person logged on for it to work, or so I was told). Just restart the computer, and you will be all set.

Like smoke said, you will always have your stats from BFG. When you start folding for the [H]orde, it will just start to add to team 33, so you will see two sections under the stanford stats. (it will look something like this http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=userpage&username=Robert_Ameeti )

~Welcome to the [H]orde
