Not sure how much he started out with. I feel bad, I wouldn't make a good pirate.
 
welp since i gained all those levels i am severely under trained (i was under trained before) and want to know the most effective way to train with the boosters... you can stack them right? if so how many can you stack?

i will probably end up buying 1000 pts and 25 awakes since my money supply in game is lower than i want it to be...

basically now im getting hit quite a lot while online and want to surprise the hell out of them in one day by whooping up on them

edit: now that i think about it 25 awakes are worth more than 1000 points so i may just buy 50 awakes
 
Yah what type of bonuses or what we get if we donate points/money to the gang?

Well, I joined the game. Interesting it is and it helps the slow days at work go by quicker. I applied to join the [H] Crew. My user name on Rule the Seas is Dkellar.

Level 14, like 6 days of play, including the day they rolled the servers back :mad:
 
I have hit a limit on the amount of interest I can acrue. 1.6 billion, is there any way around this?

nope everyone has that exact number as the highest possible amount you can have in your bank that yields the highest interest (with an RP pack)

without an RP pack you can go a little higher if im not mistaken

The bank cap is 1.75 billion for interest. Anything at or $0 interest per day. With an RP pack, the greatest amount of interest you can accrue, safely, is 67,307,692 when you have 1,682,692,306. While this doesn't quite take you to 1.75, it's the closest you can get without having to deal with a couple notorious bugs in the game that cause you to not get any interest.

The interest cap was put in place to curb inflation and to cut down on the money being brought into the game every night.

Firebane: Donating points to the gang gets you put in the list to receive a caribbean chain. It's something that you have to work for though, you can donate all the points you want, but if you don't spend time helping out other gang members or helping the gang gain in level you won't get one. Basically all the points that get donated are sold on the market, with the money earned from that going into a pot for the purchase of caribbean chains.

nah ive just been getting hit late at night a lot... while it doesnt really bother me i just would like to train and get at least one stat higher because im weak :)

Ah! Well I'd love to help the gang but every time I see a gang event I can't see the actual event just the time left; possibly because I'm not strong enough?

I've been building my stats as fast as I possibly can and currently have a total of 19,709 and level 11. I'm hoping to break 10,000 on all stats soon as I have with strength.

Oh and whats a good offhander to use for lower levels?
 
Since we're on the subject of mugging, I think the best single mug I've gotten was around 300 million. The key to getting in on the best muggings is to hang out in the tavern and wait for someone to do a mugfest. Occasionally you'll see mugfests where someone puts out several billion. Unfortunately most of the people that did the best mugfests have quit or been banned but there are still some good ones here and there.
 
uuuh golden thread.

Havin fun with the game. 4days played, was level 80. Making around 100mil a day atleast. Will start to donate chunks when I get situated. Been getting some nice xp for the guild killin some bunnies though :cool:

If you gonna train speed and strength like me your gonna want a Evil Spear (we have one in the vault if you want it) or a Calico Jack's Cursed Whip (they are expensive though)

idk about defense offhanders reaper or someone else should though.

I've got a captains scimitar and a evil spear already :) And I'm gonna bump my defense to 10,000 then work solely on speed and strength for awhile.

Shivery Skiver and Double Curved Dagger ftw! I really don't know about anything else though for the strength/defense combo. At a certain point it doesn't really matter what you're equipped with if you're going heavy on defense unless it's a weapon with a proc (like the skiver). In long, drawn out battles where both you and the opposing player are doing minimal damage, it's best to have something that can get in a couple extra damage points per hit. There's a very good thread on the RTS forums in the questions forum that goes into detail about how defense and strength work together. I believe it's entitled best weapon in the game or something close to that.

If you're playing strength/defense and are willing to spend 20 bucks on this game, the best thing you could possibly get would be the shivery skiver.

Also, don't know if anyone else noticed but they dropped the defense rating off the shield and spear as it didn't work, and upped the strength bonus to 59%, 1% higher than the captain's scimitar.
 
Taking the defense of the shield spear is so ridiculous, that was the best thing I could have going str/def but now its just another lame weapon.

The defense never worked in the first place, so it doesn't really matter that they took it away. Due to the bump in strength as a result, it is now the strongest weapon you can buy in-game.

It was always a lame weapon. The Def. bonus never wroked on it. Some people claim they got the bonus in certain situations but I never saw the bonus while I had it. Truth is, they actually made the Shield and Spear better than what it was.

Keep an eye on the market place in the forums, people sell them all the time. Expect to pay between 1 and 1.5 billion for the DJTM and up to 3 billion for the Skiver, though.
 
Won a secret one of a kind item yesterday in trivia and just mugged someone 51 times for a total of 1.7bil. It's been a good weekend!

The victom was [CAB] 420euphoria. No idea if it was a mugfest or a booboo.

lol, I bought a ton of points off him the other week and stole most of the money back. Congrats on the one-off item though. I suck at trivia (although I did, by chance, win 5 awakes one time).

To be honest, I forgot about this game for awhile. I was at a point where I would just log in, train, mug someone, and log off. What else should I be doing each time to get better stats?
 
Few things I've noticed

1) The crimes are absurdly hard once its starts getting upto "Selling a Boat". I have over 20,000 speed and still can't pull this one off.. so just how much speed do you need?

2) Did you know you don't have to click on the "vote" now links to gain the points? I've discovered you can just click on the link to go to the site and you'll still be given the points :)

That is true, I simply middle click (wheel button) each link to open a new tab in firefox. I then CNTRL + W to close each tab. Takes about 10-15 seconds to get 30 points.

Only downside is that you don't actually vote, therefore, RTS finds it harder to stay at the top of the rankings, therefore, less people may join. As long as you can live with that, sweet.
 
Damn, I have to stop playing at work. I had over 40 mil mugged from me today. Took 10 mil out to play slots, went back to work for a minute and forgot about it, lost it all. Said damn, so I put myself back in infirmary and put up 60 points for sale at 554,000 each. Forgot. Mugged. Damn.

Be patient it will start to work for you . I believe it takes you level in to account more than your speed.

I just wish they would make a higher crime that would take more nerve, I have to click on "Poison the Booze Supply" way to many times to use all my nerve so I end up getting sent to prison and have to enter that damn security code every other time I do crimes. :/

This is one of the best online games that I have played in a long time . It is a fun game , you should give it a try .

Yup, they're using points to refill their nerve to do crimes. It takes approximately 130 points per level (give or take depending on your level). Usually a full nerve bar will give you 8% exp. towards your next level. Although, when you're very low in level, these numbers are significantly different.
