Our warehouse is climbing to well over 100F, and probably 115+ where the computers are located. This is causing them to overheat severely... I want to replace them with some high-temperature capable thin clients.
Has anyone used a thin client in a >100 degrees F environment? I've found quite a few that are rated that high, but many of them have really shitty, old components in them- I really want some options like RemoteFX and Citrix HDX (don't really care about PCoIP since VMware's option is sooooo expensive). USB, DVI, and Audio ports are preferred with a resolution capability of at least 1920x1080 on one monitor. I already have some 2008 TS licenses, so something Microsoft capable is better for me, but I may end up getting VDI-in-a-box from Citrix at some point. I only need like 2 or 3 of these, so I have to be able to order in low quantities.
What sucks is I'm pretty familiar with Wyse TC's, and my main computer supplier is Dell (now owns Wyse). Would have made a great combo to go with them, but they just don't have high enough ratings for temperature on their units.
