Based on these benchmarks:
The 3090 is ~18% faster than the 3080.
The 3090 is ~56% faster than the 2080Ti.
The 3080 is ~33% faster than the 2080Ti.

So if the 3070 = 2080 Ti and gets by just fine on 2080 Super bandwidth, then why do we need this new memory design for the top cards?
I've imagined a lot of things but none of them got me hooked.Imagine performance with 3090 Ti on games. I am hooked like after coke guys :O wow
Going to be interesting to see the waterblocks for this pcb layout.

First of all, there is no RTX 3080 Ti (at least not yet). NVIDIA is really launching the RTX 3090 instead. This graphics card will feature 24GB of GDDR6X memory, the same capacity as current generation TITAN RTX.
The GeForce RTX 3080 has been confirmed with 10GB GDDR6X memory. This is a lot less than RTX 3090, but what this means is that there is room for RTX 3080 SUPER with 16GB in the future.
We only have the capacities confirmed, but we can assume that RTX 3090 features a 384-bit bus and RTX 3080 gets 320-bit. The memory speeds for both cards are expected to be at least 19 Gbps.
I imagine we will see a dual side waterblock.Going to be interesting to see the waterblocks for this pcb layout.
i am joking my sweety <3 :* . Just excited.I've imagined a lot of things but none of them got me hooked.
Probably best to wait for the the last stuff you took to wear off before posting.
Given that the 2080ti is out of production I am pretty sure Nvidia does not care for it anymore.Agreed. Nvidia will not cannibalize 2080Ti that hard under any circumstances.
You are more then likely fine.So i have SEASONIC TX-750W PRIME TITANIUM PLUS it will be fine with 3090/3090 Ti ?
thank you for fast answerYou are more then likely fine.
The RTX beta testing period has concluded. We would like to thank all of our beta testers for their valuable feedback.Given that the 2080ti is out of production I am pretty sure Nvidia does not care for it anymore.
I have a question. What with driver support for 2080 Ti and new games after releasing 3xxx series. It will be support still for new drivers? I ask because i have 2080 Ti Waterforce and if i not sell .....
Thank you for reply. Really appreciate it.No worries. 2080Ti won't be top dog anymore, but it will better than 3050/3060 and probably 3070. I'd expect good support for 5+ years.
It will be supported for awhile. I believe they still even support 7xx series of cards. The 6xx cards were just recently within in the last year dropped I believe. They still work tho.I have a question. What with driver support for 2080 Ti and new games after releasing 3xxx series. It will be support still for new drivers? Personally I'd be pretty fine with in the 10-16GB VRAM range... if I was buying a 3090 and had the choice of 12GB vs 24GB for a few hundred less I'd go for the 12GB.

I wish for once Nvidia (and AMD) would give us 100% performance increases over the previous gen flagship... we are always stuck paying over 1k for 20% at worst, 40% at best performance increases. Seems ridiculous, but then that's why NV is laughing all the way to the bank.
Even if they could, I doubt they would even want to give us those kind of increases, when people now pay what they do for 20-40%.I am sure they wish they could too. But performance doesn't come from wishes. It comes from a massive amount of work making incremental advances in multiple areas to eek out small pushes forward that add up.

nice thx. Or maybe i will buy 3090/3090 Ti ,not sure now. But i ask about drivers if of course i will not sell 2080 ti currentlyI sold my 2080ti recently and plugged in my trusty 980ti. I booted my system without any weird graphics display glitch or resolution change. I checked then virus website and was pleased to see that the current driver for the 2080ti is the same driver for the 980ti. You should be set for atleast 4-5 years, considering that it is also an etc card
