Doesn't say what resolution. (EDIT: Time Spy Extreme benchmark, so it's at 4k).
If this is on either 1080p or 1440p then we can expect it to be even faster on 2160p.

The current leaks put my page 1 prediction pretty spot on, 10 months ago ;)

So if the 3070 = 2080 Ti and gets by just fine on 2080 Super bandwidth, then why do we need this new memory design for the top cards?

The bump in bus width for 3090 plus push to 16gbps should be enough to feed a 50% performance bump over the 2080 Ti. It's a bump in bandwidth of 1.25... exactly the same amount they reduced the bandwidth in the 3070 = 2080 Ti!

If one card can get by with 25% less bandwidth (for the same performance level Turing), it follows that they all could. The GTX 1070 Ti is still a testament for how pointless GDDR5X memory was. Will we once-again add to the price of new cards with another gap-filler pointless memory bump?

Who said 3070 gets by on 2080 super bandwidth? We don’t have any info on the 3070. All the leaks have been on GA102.

First of all, there is no RTX 3080 Ti (at least not yet). NVIDIA is really launching the RTX 3090 instead. This graphics card will feature 24GB of GDDR6X memory, the same capacity as current generation TITAN RTX.

The GeForce RTX 3080 has been confirmed with 10GB GDDR6X memory. This is a lot less than RTX 3090, but what this means is that there is room for RTX 3080 SUPER with 16GB in the future.

We only have the capacities confirmed, but we can assume that RTX 3090 features a 384-bit bus and RTX 3080 gets 320-bit. The memory speeds for both cards are expected to be at least 19 Gbps.
 
Disappointed there isn't expected to be a 20GB 3080 at launch but we'll see. Though historically IIRC Ti variants are often later additions anyway.

10GB vs 24GB? that is a big gap, my 1080 Ti has 11GB - so in a way 3080 would be a downgrade in memory and @4K I may need more than 10GB over the next few years. So if I want to upgrade as soon as possible, then NVDA may have forced me to go with 3090 - which may be part of their plan anyway. Unless I am willing to wait....
 
I'm seeing comments over on Reddit that the 20GB 3080 model is rumored (not sure where from exactly) to be from third-parties rather than from the reference models and only weeks after the FE launches. Taking it with a big grain of salt but has me curious.

Also what can be with Aorus Rtx 3090 Ti Waterforce? DUAL SIZE AIO? I have currently 2080 Ti Aorus WAterforce so it will be the same or bigger?
 
So i have SEASONIC TX-750W PRIME TITANIUM PLUS it will be fine with 3090/3090 Ti ?

Was just checking if someone beat me to posting it. This is definitely the first cooler (2 slot) that leaked, it also shows the 12 pin power connector. Airflow for the second fan is opposite to the direction most people assumed.

I have a question. What with driver support for 2080 Ti and new games after releasing 3xxx series. It will be support still for new drivers? I ask because i have 2080 Ti Waterforce and if i not sell .....

No worries. 2080Ti won't be top dog anymore, but it will better than 3050/3060 and probably 3070. I'd expect good support for 5+ years.
 
The *potentially* lower bandwidth and memory could be counting on DLSS to continue to catch on. DLSS makes that concern way lower. Of course, I am not a fan of things that take per game implementation.

On the flip side I've never ran out of VRAM so it's not a concern for me anyways. I believe the VRAM takes at least the same amount of space in RAM. So someone with a 24GB card would probably want 64GB of ram.

Personally I'd be pretty fine with in the 10-16GB VRAM range... if I was buying a 3090 and had the choice of 12GB vs 24GB for a few hundred less I'd go for the 12GB.

It will be supported for awhile. I believe they still even support 7xx series of cards. The 6xx cards were just recently within in the last year dropped I believe. They still work tho.

The 2080Ti will still be as fast, or at worst a hair slower then the incoming 2nd tier card, RTX 3080. This has been the pattern for a while now where the new incoming 2nd tier cards (GTX 1080, 2080, etc) are just as fast as the previous high end card ( Ti Models ).

The one area where performance may be substantially better is with Ray Tracing, so it's possible even the 3070 may have better RT performance than the 2080Ti but don't forget the 3070 will also have cut down RT hardware so I'm doubtful it'll beat the 2080ti at RT. -

The 2080 Ti will still be a great card for a few years, even the RTX 3070 won't touch it's performance. While both companies NV and AMD, prioritize drivers for their newest flagship cards, driver support for the previous models is still kept a priority with improvements, game ready drivers, and some AAA game optimizations. If you owned a 1080Ti or 980Ti, then sure... Nvidia isn't going to dedicate their driver team to optimize drivers for a 4-5 year old card.
 
I wish for once Nvidia (and AMD) would give us 100% performance increases over the previous gen flagship... we are always stuck paying over 1k for 20% at worst, 40% at best performance increases. Seems ridiculous, but then that's why NV is laughing all the way to the bank.

I am sure they wish they could too. But performance doesn't come from wishes. It comes from a massive amount of work making incremental advances in multiple areas to eek out small pushes forward that add up.

Even if they could, I doubt they would even want to give us those kind of increases, when people now pay what they do for 20-40%.

I sold my 2080ti recently and plugged in my trusty 980ti. I booted my system without any weird graphics display glitch or resolution change. I checked then checked the nvidia website and was pleased to see that the current driver for the 2080ti is the same driver for the 980ti. You should be set for atleast 4-5 years, considering that it is also an rtx card

nice thx. Or maybe i will buy 3090/3090 Ti ,not sure now. :) But i ask about drivers if of course i will not sell 2080 ti currently ;)
