Guess I will be getting a 3090 after all. Nvidia website says it has 10496 Cuda Cores sweet! :troll:

Turns out those aren't physical cores but more of a marketing number based on expected performance. Weak.

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/30-series/rtx-3090/

3080 is decent too with 8704 Cuda Cores. :troll: :troll:

3070 has 5888, moar than a Titan V!!! :troll: :troll: :troll:

With these many cuda cores being thrown out, makes me wonder what AMD has!

That's double the specs leaked!

I will get what ever fits in a Dan A4 case. Hell I am on a 2080 super =(

10K cuda cores?!
EDIT: yeah I'm going 3090 as well. Glad I sold 2080 Ti last weekend!

indeed, at $700 new for the 3080 that performs significantly better than the 2080ti, the used 2080ti value is absolutely crushed - I don't think i would pay $350 for a used one.

I get it if you are getting 3090 for bragging right. Nothing wrong with that but admit it lol.

I mean there is not a lot of performer difference Between 3090 vs 3080 looking at paper. I mean price is just not reflective of the overall performer upgrade. It’s more than doubled the price.

3080 is killer for the price. I mean I could upgrade 2 systems for the same price lol.

‘Not just significantly better than a 2080ti it’s 2x the performance! 2080tis bout to be worth $400.

About 20% performance uplift over the 3080 on paper but it has 24 jigabytes of ram. 😂

it makes the $300 1080ti the best step up used gpu for a kids Fortnite box.

Why would you pay anywhere near $300 for a 1080ti, when the 3060 will be 350-400 and at least 35-50% faster? + you get warranty, all the accessories, box, etc.

I was being facetious, like I was writing one of those craigslist ads trying to sell an 8 core gaming box for $700 with an 8250 and gtx460 in it.

I'm getting one because I want no-compromises 144hz on my 3440x1440 monitor, and my 1080ti doesn't give me that. Given how taxing some of the current games are at that target resolution and framerate, I don't know that a 3080 would give me that either - especially with the newer titles that are dropping soon.

What does that make the 1080tis that people have been getting 400+ worth?
Supply and demand, if 3000 series are everywhere at MSRP $300+, if not more. Really just what folks are willing to pay. The 3070 won't be out until October so still some time there. Once the 3060 hits, in numbers, anything from AMD is when big price drop for used. Not everyone are going to wait for the new GPUs to hit and then wait for supplies to catch up

Sorry didn't catch that, slow that way sometimes.

It’s all good, my mind went straight to snark when I was fast forwarding thru the nvidia pr clip.
Stuff like this, but we will start seeing them with 2060S, 1070, etc:

I don't think i would offer anything for that system. look at ebay, very intresting...all bidding action post announcement has stopped on the 1080tis, no new bids on cards with active bidding..no new bids on cards with no bids.

Suspect the EVGA RTX 3080 Hybrid will sell for $850-900 given the base price for the model is $700. I'll likely get one of those in November or December...going to wait to make sure there are no 'Space Invaders' issues with the new cards.

I'm going to wait for the reviews to come in.
Saturating a 165hz 1440p panel was already doable with a 1080ti with competitive graphics settings.

Latency kajigger sounds cool, Battlefieldnonsense will have a field day with that feature.

The streaming/meeting features aren't #1 but I can see the lower end or office gpus being desireable in prebuilts.

I can see the 3090 getting blamed for alot of dead PSUs in the coming weeks, especially the AIB variants.

3090 should be a worthy successor for a Tv
