So I got my first RRoD last week and I'm sending out my 360 today. Just wondering what time frames you guys have encountered for getting them back. I'd really like to have it by next Friday (was planning on playing GTA IV all day), but I'm thinking that's not gonna be happening.

If you overnight that shit to em it might happen. Maybe see if they can overnight it back to you for a fee or something.

I just got mine back yesterday and the longest part of it was waiting for the box to come. They only kept the console for 1-2 days.

Depends. The first time, it took like a week for the box to come, but this time, it only took a couple days. It only took them a week and a half to get me my 360 back after I sent it to them the first time. So, 2-3 weeks sounds about right. You _could_ get it back by next Friday, but I wouldn't plan for it.

Unfortunately, you'll probably get to be a bit of an expert on this stuff - unless you sent them a Falcon (which hardly ever RRoDs), you're just going to be riding the "fix my machine!" treadmill until the Opus motherboards arrive.

It took about a month to get my 360 back from the repair center, but that was over Christmas, so things were probably slower then. That part of the repair process was easy. It was getting all of my DRM-protected Live Arcade games to work after I got the 360 back that was hard.

Test your Live Arcade games when you get your Xbox back. You'll probably have to delete and redownload all of them. If you get unlucky like I did and that doesn't make them work, it'll take Microsoft about 2 more months to take care of the issue. I originally sent my 360 in for repair in November. I wasn't able to play my arcade games again until March.

My last one was shipped to them last Friday, and they shipped out my replacement Wednesday. All together I'm probably looking at about 1-1.5 weeks turnaround when it arrives. This is in Canada however.

My first one took 1.5 months, but that was right after they announced the 3 year extended warranty at the height of the RROD fiasco.
