Rotary fittings... Needed?

So, with regular g1/4 90 or 45 compression fittings, do you have any control over the direction they point? My small GPU loop will have some funky angles to it.

I guess the question is: do you buy rotary fittings so that they're moveable after install, or do you buy them because they're moveable at all?

I don't want to pay 30% more per fitting if it's not needed.

You can turn non-rotary fittings a slight bit (90 degrees?) but doing so changes the pressure on the o-ring. Another option is to change to thicker o-rings, that would change the direction the fitting is pointing while maintaining good pressure on the o-ring.
All I have are rotaries, they alow you to adjust them as much as you want. With non-rotary fittings you are pretty much at the mercy of whatever way your blocks/radiators are threaded.

But yourself some rotary M-F fittings, You'll thank yourself.

Use rotaries if you're using angled fittings. They are pretty much necessary to get the perfect angle.

Thanks for the advice all! My rad arrives today, so I can test fit and see exactly what angles I'll need. Appreciate the help. =)

So I went for straight compression fittings, with rotary 90-degree m-f fittings where needed. I figure this way that if I change or upgrade my loop later, I'll still have the compression ends and will only need to buy different m-f fittings as required.

Thanks again! =)
