Hey hardforum

I am in a dillema on whether to get Rosewill's RBR750-M or Antec EA650

Reason being, both are priced similarly, and Rosewill's one looks better ^_^

Is this Rosewill PSU a good one? can it power my GTX275 + Phenom II X4 810 BE ??

Thanks

I've had bad experiences with rosewill. Antec is a trusted and well known manufacturer of PSU's and cases. I would buy the Antec PSU and never look back.

Stick with the Antec, the general consensus that I've seen is Rosewill's PS's have inconsistent quality. Of all the parts in a PC the PS needs the most stability because it can effect everything else. I have bought Rosewill brand items before (cases, card readers, cables, etc,) and have been satisfied with them but, I do believe when buying critical parts for a PC you are best to stay with a major brand (Antec, Enermax, Corsair, etc.). I also think the number of reviews speaks volumes, Rosewill's 12 vs. Antec's 293.

I'm running a Rosewill 530watt 80+ PSU in the system in my sig.

Have had no problems at all with it yet. Maybe it just the luck of the draw?

I can't vouch for the Rosewill you are buying. But I tell you this.I have a rosewill rp550V2-s-sl that has never let me down.

The EA650 is a much better PSU. Some of Rosewill's units are actually decent ATNG-built PSUs, but even their best products are still inferior to the EA650 which is a very good Delta unit.

What Zero82z said.

Yes a Rosewill PSU may work just fine but that doesn't mean that it's actually a good PSU. It's still an inferior product compared to equally priced PSUs.

Rosewill PSUs are sourced from many manufacturers, some good, some bad, some okay-ish. There really is no way to be sure what you're getting unless someone knowledgeable were to take the unit you bought apart and tell you who made it and check the build quality.

I wouldn't risk it.

johnnyguru had a review on a rosewill and he liked it.
Some Rosewill PSUs are decent, but many are crap. It depends entirely on the specific unit, so just because one Rosewill PSU tested well doesn't mean they all will.

Rosewill RP500-2, failed HardOCP tests. No DC ripple scopes, but I doubt they'd be anything but cringe-worthy. Failed 100V tests, horrendous transient results. Oh, and 1 year warranty combined with a secondary cap brand I haven't seen used anywhere else yet.

Buying a Rosewill PSU is kind of like playing Russian Roulette: chances are you will end up fine, but you may also end up with a dead system :)

I've got an old rosewill psu in my moms computer, and numbers inside trace back to antec. I think they just rebrand whatever powersupplies they have lying around as rosewill for reselling.

Rosewill doesn't rebrand PSUs from other retail brands, and they certainly don't sell Antec PSUs under their name. All their PSUs are outsourced to various OEMs, including Solytech (Deer), ATNG, and I think they might use Youngyear as well.

Eager to prove you wrong i took out that PSU and it did in fact have an Antec label on it, not Rosewill. I feel silly now. Not sure why i recall it being Rosewill in the first place.
