What the heck is going on with the Nvidia 20 series cards?

I purchased a MSI rtx 2070 Armor. First one, space invaders. Second one, ok for a week, then the lockups started. I had to jump through some hoops to get a credit from NewEgg. But what now?

1080ti good but expensive and hard to find. I don't really want to go into the 1K territory for a card.

I'm really frustrated trying to find an Nvidia card (G sync monitor).

Getting by at 2k with rx570.
 
Used 1080Ti costs as much as 2070 if not cheaper and should be plentiful
 
Honestly you either have to buy used, buy another 2070 and hope it does better, or wait for AMD.

I don't envy your position because all the choices suck.
 
My Gigabyte RTX 2060 arrives tomorrow. I hope it doesn't have issues. That being said, I'm going to hold onto my GTX 1060 for a week or so before selling it on Craigslist.

Well the new AMD Radeon VII that is supposed to be as fast as a RTX 2080 drops on February 7th if you can hold out that long.

Vega VII is much more expensive than RTX 2070 or 1080Ti though...

Meh, Vega 64 was as low as $399. $499 for roughly the same performance isnt exactly a great deal.

Wrong. The 64 is 15pct slower per H reviews. Also the 2070 has been down to 430 and free BFV as I said in my post if you want to compare sales.
 
Just pray Bitcoin crashes soon, and with it, the prices of vid cards :giggle:
