When saving OC settings it seems to bump up the 'standard 2D' mem clocks to whatever I've set them in 'performance 3D'... Is this normal? I'm guessing it's able to core throttle when switching from 2D to 3D but the mem clocks just stay the same 24/7... Unless I'm doing something wrong here.

Not very familiar with RT or even the Detonator OC options, been a while since I've had a card that was really worth OC'ing. :p I did manage to unlock the pipes on this 6800 just fine and I've been stress testing with rthdribl, seems to have taken (temps haven't gone up past 65C with the NV5 either). I'll fire up HL2 later for some real testing... ;)

The mem clock is the same for both 2D/3D even tho ur not running any 3D app. The core speed oc will only apply when 3D app is running, Try running the hw monitor in riva tuner and see the core speed bump while ur playing the game.

Ohh, good idea, I had opened that earlier and totally forgot about it... Gonna do it right now to see if it's using the performance 3D OC for the rthdribl stress test I'm running actually.

Hmm, it didn't throttle to 400 while running rthdribl, guess that's because it's windowed or not intensive enough... I'll set it up when I run a game to make sure it's going to 400, the mem was at 800 though.
