Riddick's bad performance

I got Chronicles of Riddick last week and I haven't been able to get it to run well on my computer. I have the resolution at 1152x864, texture quality at below the middle, shadows off, V-sync off, AF off and I can only get around 10-15 FPS.

My system:
P4 3 Ghz
BFG 6800 OC
1 Gig ram

I have looked for tweaks for the game but haven't found any. Has anyone else had trouble with this game, HL2 and Far Cry ran smoothly, I can't see why this game wouldn't. If anyone has any ideas thanks, I appreciate it.
 
I read the latest nvidia driver, 71 dot whatever, messes up graphic performance somehow. Or a game buck with the driver version. However the prior version works fine.

However your fps are low enough that drivers alone..dunno.
 
I could run the game fine at 1600x1200 with the specs in my sig, so something is definitely wrong. Everything high, other than Shadows which I bumped down to 2.0 as opposed to 2.0++.
 
Yes without SM 2.0++ with your systems you should just about be able to max it out in 1600x1200x32. May be some areas where fps goes down but generally.

Something like 1600x1200x32 2xaa and 4 or 8x aniso should be possible.
 
I had the same problem....glad to hear you got it fixed tho. Riddick is a great game.
