Is there a reason you don't put the h50 where the "rear" case fan is?
Inspired by ZC1 and his FT02 build. Thank you for pointing out the Blue LED 180mm and Cooler Master Blue light specials.
What specials?
I've read here & elsewhere that it's not good to SLI/Xfire without an empty slot between cards
It's FUD, always has been, always will be.
The extra space HELPS but in no way is it REQUIRED.
I still get around 52c idle and low to mid 70s @ load with the fans @ 80% (f@h 24/7).
Need to take new pics, have an Arrow to install and some other minor things to do but otherwise - I'm still using this board+those cards with no problems and my system folds 24/7 meaning full load 24/7.I do not have heat problems.
wow, you're one of the only people i've seen put an optical drive in the top slot hehe. kudos
I noticed you put the strap on the PSU. I ended up not doing it because it crossed over the PSU fan.
I do need to install the Arrow because right now it's sitting unused and with summer starting today and mid-90s (F) the norm in my neck of the woods (outside St. Louis, MO) I can use all the cooling help I can get. Can't wait to run the Arrow w/2x high Yates.
Errr either way, still no response at all about stealthing... I glued a layer of cardboard w/ a hole for the tray area so that when you press the corner to open it, it won't feel so empty inside. hopefully it'll work as intended.
IIRC nobody here's done the stealth mod. Please post pics when you're completed so we can see what you did though!
Hey Zero, what are your temps with the arrow and yates?
I want to purchase a Silverstone FT02 case. I'm not sure which one to get, the one with red interior comes with the new AP Penetrator fans. Are the plain black models also shipping with these fans?
I like the red but I don't want to be stuck with a particular theme.
I ordered pretty recently, didn't get the AP fans. Any reviews on these fans yet?
So I am guessing you can't fit a Lian-Li little stealth door thing on this case for the optical drives? That is too bad..Otherwise this is a good case for a media PC IMHO. I don't like this design for desktops cause I have small place and like to be able to put stuff on top of my computer (bills and such)..
You can mod it to work. Check youtube for the German dude who did it.
Anyone picked up the AP181's for their FT02 yet? I'm hesitant to put $75 down for these.
I'm curious to see what the temp difference is. I know the airflow's better, yadda yadda yadda...yeah, show me the C drop.TBH I don't think there's going to be much of a drop; it'd have to be like 10c for me to consider paying $75 for 3 fans just to drop a few degrees, it would have to be something monumental. In that case, hell, you could run an open bench and save money or just take the side panel off. The fan design is intriguing, it's a neat idea...however it's just not very economical for me, again I don't think we'll see enough of a temp drop to justify the added expense.
