So I have my computer here:
P4 2.4C@2.94, Asus P4P800, prime95 stable for 24 hours
Lian Li PC60 case
Windows XP Pro
When I press the reset button on the case, and the computer is _not_ locked up, it resets fine and dandy, just as you would expect. When the computer locks up though (as recently happened when I upgraded some driver and my games started crashing), the reset button doesn't work.
Obviously, this is no good since the only time you really need the reset button is when the computer is locked up. The only way to resolve such a hard lock up then is to turn off the computer, and then back on again. This solution is clearly less than ideal.
I figured there was some setting in the BIOS related to this, perhaps under power management, but I was unsuccessful in finding it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what did you do to fix it, if anything? Thanks for the help.
