well so lately on my pc i have been suffering from random shutdowns and its become a real nuisance. So i have been looking at new power supplys to replace this one i wanted something modular but im not to picky ill just need to do some extra cable management if it isn't. But anyway i have been looking for a few here are the ones that i had in mind.
Corsair 750TX

Zalman 750w
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817379006&Tpk=zalman 750w
Does anyone have any other recommendations preferably something cheaper in the 700w+ range?
Thank you for your time.

750W is a bit overkill for your current setup. A good quality 550W PSU is all that you need:
$69 - BFG Tech LS-550 550W PSU

But if you want a 750W PSU, the Corsair 750TX is one of the cheapest 750W PSU. But you can get a quality 750W PSU for just $10 less:
$110 - PC Power & Cooling S75CF 750W PSU

That's the cheapest 750W PSU I can recommend.

yeah the 750 is definitely overkill for my current setup but in the future i plan to upgrade so i wanted a safe wattage and 750 seems like a good point.

Don't think you'll go wrong with the Corsair 750. I believe Seasonic is the OEM, correct me if I'm wrong, and are known for high quality.

i did a bit more research with a power supply calculator and even with the upgrades i want it says i should only need 599 watts do you think ill be set with the corsair 620w?

here are the parts i will be upgrading.
Cpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103649&Tpk=phenom 2 720
GPU:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121288
HSF:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118004
RAM: adding an extra 2 gigs http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227231
bases on the specs the 620W should be able to run that fine and still be able to upgrade to crossfire without needing a new power supply right.

You're linking to the Corsair 650W, not the 620W. In either case, both those PSUs will be enough for a single GPU setup. For a CF or SLI setup, I highly recommend the 750TX or PC P&C 750 for a bit more headroom.

Some suggestions on your planned upgrades:
- Ditch the Zalman HSF. The Xigmatek HSF has significantly better cooling for not much more:
$42 - Xigmatek Dark Knight-S1283V 120mm HSF
- For $10 more you can get the GTX 260 which outperforms the HD4870 512MB. It also comes with free shipping:
$170 - BFG Tech BFGEGTX260896OCE GeForce GTX 260 896MB PCI-E Video Card
- Ram wise, that's a very very poor price for 2GB of DDR2 RAM, no matter how well it OCs or its low timings. For $10 more, you can get twice the amount of RAM:

your upgraded system will probably pull around 300watts at load. even still i think the hx620 will be a good upgrade and you probably don't need a 750W psu.

599 watts does seem like an over estimation of actually watts needed, I would go lower than the 750, you wont need that much.
