What are you guys using to remote to your desktop?

Other other options are there other then remote desktop that comes with windows.

I'm a big fan of just RDP, (the one built into Windows), but I've also messed around with Splashtop

RDP in the business and ultimate versions of windows is going to be one of the fastest ones. You need to open a port in your router to get in though.

Past that logmein or teamviewer if you want something a little easier to setup.

windows RDP nothing wrong with it if you got a static IP / dns entries for your system, otherwise teamviewer.

i find RDP really slow sometimes, thanks for posting alternatives, will give them a try.

I've been using the remote desktop built into Chrome. Seems to work pretty well.

I use Jump Desktop. Streamlines the RDP process between desktops (for free) and has been the easiest to use with mobile devices.

Splashtop is excellent if you want to view video or play games over your remote session. It uses h.264 compression, so it outperforms most other remote desktop suites in applications that are high-motion or refresh the whole screen at once.
