Searching for guidance on options to create a remote backup of the data on my 2TB hard drive in another geographic location in the event of a fire. While I have a couple of backups of the data, they all reside at home. Not really interested in paying a monthly fee to some company to keep a copy.
Initial thoughts:
1. Use family member's house as a location and backup data to a drive there (unsure how to do this over the Internet/ISP and with minimal latency)
2. Buy another HDD and copy data to it every couple of months and ship it to family member
3. Copy key files to a DVD every month
Option 1 is my goal, how do you do it?
