That was for XP, because the scheduler was too primitive, with Vista and 7 it was no longer needed.
Even though it still gets bundled with some games like Mirror's Edge: Catalyst.
I remember installing it on some AMD A64X2 builds and it completely fubaring the OS.
I hated it, loved it when it worked though.
