Refurbished

Eh... It's an old platform with pretty high ripple. I wouldn't recommend it even new.

Save up a couple more bucks and buy a new Corsair. I personally have no problem with refurbished electronics at all and have had very good results.

I would would like to only spend $50-$100. any suggestions? its for gaming mostly and guessing 750 watt should be fine.

Specs of your PC would help. Also, do you need to buy from Microcenter? Or online would be fine?

Well, you definitely don't need 700 watts. More like a 550 watt power supply, unless you plan to SLI. SLI you will want a 650 or 750 watt.

There have been numerous DOA reports of the EliteXStream refurbished. If you don't mind the possibility of traveling back and forth, and higher than average chance of early failure, you can get that.

If you want a truly solid and good value unit, get the Seasonic X650 from Newegg for $90.

Exactly how much multi-tasking are you planning on doing? ANd you don't mind the increased heat and power usage of the AMD CPUs, correct?
HAF912 Mid Tower ATX Computer Case ($60)
Not a good choice since the more up-to-date and better quality Corsair 200R case costs $60 shipped now.

As Tsumi said, go for the Seasonic X650 Gold 650W Modular PSU. from Newegg for $90. It's simply one of the best PSU deals right now and will probably end soon.

Don't go with that OCZ unless you hate yourself and your PC.

so ill get that that corsair 200r case and that seasonic psu today from new egg.

mulitasking for me is just running multiple games at the same time lol should i just stick with the intel then? i know the i5 is better at running one game at time.

If you're running multiple games, yeah that make a good case for you to stay with AMD.

i decided to go with intel since its cooler and doesnt use much power. ill just suck it up and play one at a time. i ordered some pieces today im excited.
