But that's going to be just about all of us isn't it?![]()
I KNOW I'm getting my ass kicked when I get into this. If I even show up and remotely competitive I'm going to be pretty happy with myself.
The main thing that throws off new people is the lack of crosshairs + freeaim (meaning your gun moves independently of your screen a little bit, so it's not always pointed directly in the center).
For those of us who are used to this it will be a massacre for those who aren't, seeing them hip fire and not being used to the guns.
However the nice thing about RO, is that no gun feels "op" because instead of "Balancing" them for some "fps game'ism" they make them realistic. This means that any gun, from a pistol to a sniper and everything in between, is extremely deadly with good aim.
On the maps in RO, you can play with any single gun and do well, it just depends on how/where you play.
Certain maps I prefer the bolt action rifles over smg's because of the open area's/distances, others the smg's work better with close quarters, but knowing the maps and good spots still allows you to do good with any gun.
My favorite guns in RO were the SVT-40 and G43, good non-bolt semi-auto rifles that were very versatile for any map almost.
I just wish I could play the lsniepr more, that's the thing that's both good and bad about RO, they use a limited number of snipers on each team (usually just one or two max) and then a limited number of SMG's, with more eople using bolt-action rifles.
This keep sit balanced and stops it from being a sniperfest or an smg only game, which is good.
However sometimes you just REALLY want to use those guns but aren't able to in some servers unless you get it at the start of a match and have to be quick about it.
