This may sound odd but Id like to build a almost pure red PC inside and out. are the parts out there to make this happen? Ive seen blue and black everywhere but red only on the case. Am I blind or just not looking where i should be?

Lian li has red cases and bio star and high end asus board s in red

Yeah an almost pure red system is not gonna happen. You can definitely get a red and black system though:
$140 - AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition CPU
$65 - Biostar TA880GB+ AMD 880G mATX Motherboard
$41 - G.Skill Ripjaw Series F3-10666CL9S-4GBRL 4GB DDR3 1333 RAM
$185 - MSI R6850-PM2D1GD5/OC Radeon HD 6850 1GB PCI-E Video card
$65 - Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
$40 - Antec NEO ECO 520C 520W PSU
$160 - NZXT Phantom PHAN-001RD Red Full Tower ATX Case
----
Total: $696 plus tax and shipping

Not a best bang for the buck system but still close to a red and black motif as possible.

Nothing at all wrong with Danny's build, but I just figured I would give a little different spin.. This is slightly over budget, But better overall performance & in a different red case (If you like the cube style which I do)

120 LIAN LI PC-V352R Red
305 BIOSTAR TA890GXB HD AM3 AMD 890GX + XFX HD-687A-ZNBC Radeon HD 6870 Black Edition 1GB (edge is red)
100 G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
169 AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (Promo Code HARDOCPX223A)
40 Antec NEO ECO 520C
65 SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM

810 Shipped

Between my list & Danny's you can pretty much interchange all the parts to your liking. Pretty much comes down to personal preference & budget.

I agree bastage's build is a great system too...less cash and a performer for sure...
other option is to wait and see what bulldozer is going to do...you can always put together the systems above ,even after bulldozer comes out... if BD is out of your pricerange the parts listed above will be falling in price and you'll get a better deal...
if i was in a situation that i had a working computer now and had the upgrade bug at this point i would wait on BD and then make a decision..id hate to build a phenom system and then have BD come out and be unreal id be kicking my butt for not waiting...anyway just my opinion...
from all ive read about BD it looks to be pretty comparable to sandy bridge...some say the best cpu amd has brought in years and its going to give intel a run for there money...
im an avid amd fan and this i7 system in my sig is my first intel system that ive built for myself and ive been building computers since 1996...i always go amd but the i7 systems just buried amd's offerings a year ago and i couldnt help myself...its a wonderful system but if bulldozer looks good a year from now, back to amd I go...I always root for the underdog...

Yeah I've been kinda busy since I posted this thread but damn you guys have a almost complete red build. Its really more for the wife than anything. Its about time she gets to try her hand at building something.
