I would still rather play this on a console... only because the multiplayer for this is going to be great and nobody I know has a gaming computer. If I did... then I would get it on PC.

A PC version for this game would be nice but like GTA4 it's made more with consoles in mind.

The comments section is laugh out loud funny:

"hahaha suckers ima get this for my xbox ! 2 bad u pc fanboys that cant get everything in this world.. fucking deal with it."

"you know that your shitty console crap comes from the PC right? As in, everything started with the PC. Think about that next time, consolekid."

"alot of people just want it on PC so they can pirate it"

"the fact that console games are shit when it comes to shooters has nothing to do with piracy.. grow up chump.. there will always be piracy, you don’t need to lump in people who prefer playing their games on pc (since it’s way better) with the people who just don’t feel like paying. people who play fps on console obviously obviously don’t have a clue about what makes a game good."

Do these people not understand that when you start a sentence the first letter should be capitalized?

Sounds good.

On PC it'd be much easier to get a shot of my character lassoing and then dragging a guy behind a horse then head shotting 2 pursuers in slow-mo while leaping across a narrow river during high noon so the camera would be all lens-flare-y.

That's the least of their problems. My IQ sank several points reading some of that garbage.

Anyways, I certainly hope this comes on the PC. GTA IV is awesome on the PC and this would be, too.

RDR on PC would be "kind of" cool, as long as they do a decent job and not a direct port. Also, a patch down the road that kills mods would be bad.

in the latest kotaku talk radio they talk with the top guys at rockstar and they said that they have no plans at all for a PC version right now.

I would def buy the game if it came out for pc. Gta4 and eflc are awesome in eyefinity. I probably won't buy it for my console - backlog is huge.

It will come to PC like the long line of R* titles, there's too much money to be made, despite the PC audience being smaller.

Pretty much exactly how I feel. Anyone I know worth gaming with is going to get the console version.

edit. I'll buy on PC if a few friends do, but regardless of platform I'll be waiting for the inevitable $39 price in a few months.

Game Informer has a history of fucking shit up like this. They put Killzone 2 down as a PS3 and 360 game. Don't trust anything like that from them.

Do they have a history other than that? Sounds like a simple typo.

They've done it before that, I just can't remember which title it was for. Either way, GI isn't a terribly trust worthy source in the first place. They're owned by Gamestop after all.

so far i havent seen a single trailer say anything about the PC.. only the 360 and ps3.. so until i see something in the trailer say PC ill continue to take anything GI says with a grain of sand..

I remember seeing crapload of materials denying existence of pc version of GTA IV ;)

Anyway for me it's simple - they port it to PC i'll buy it for 10 euros on steam sale, if not i can live without it.

I think most people knew GTAIV would happen. After all the series started on the PC and every other version of the game has had a PC release. Red Dead Revolver, on the other hand, never it made it to the PC.

RDR had so much delays and costed insane amount of money so they are going to need pc version to recover as much cash as possible.

Look at the pictures in the second post carefully. Look at the screen and specifically look over the right shoulder of the guy facing the camera.

What do you all think is happening there?

Except that isn't proof of anything. As pointed out in the very thread you linked to there is no mention of the other versions up there, all that is shown is information about the TV and its likely that its talking about a "PC connection" (VGA/DVI) and not a "PC DVD ROM" logo. Also, you're linking to a topic that was started back in early April.

All fair points.

GTA IV was so god damn hideous on the 360 that I couldn't play it. And I've played many other PS3 and 360 games, some of them quite pretty.

Wouldn't be surprised if this game suffers from the same blurry imprimatur as Rockstar's last effort.

Different Rockstar, FYI

Yeah the 360 version of GTAIV was utter garbage. I'm really glad they released on PC, even if you do need a freakin i7 to play it smoothly.

Yea i just bought the liberty city stories and my o my does that game look a thousand times better than the console version.

never again will i buy a GTA game on a console. they just cant handle it.

Good games require good hardware to run them. The age of consoles being able to try and mask their ugly graphics is well and truly over, they're about 10% the speed of high end gaming PCs now, they can't possible hope to stand a chance.

I'll wait for Red Dead Redemption on the PC like a good little boy. Oh please rockstar release me a PC version! I'm just a lowly pc gamer with no friends (they all went to the 360 and PS3)

To be honest though, this summer is shaping up to be incredibly dry - maybe one of the worst summers in over a decade.

If Red Dead doesn't look god awful on the 360 - and I don't know how anybody could compare any recent 360 title with the PC version maxed out - then I might consider buying it... but it would be painful.

My new GTX 480 has kind of spoiled me. A game like Just Cause 2, running on the 480, can't even be compared to the same game running on the 360. Just... forget about it.

I really really really really hope this comes to the PC. It's going to suck waiting for it, but my backlog is ridiculous. I didn't even finish HL2 ep 1 and 2 yet.

I also haven't finished episodes 1 or 2, although I've started both. What's up with that, eh? I swear to god, it's criminal the number of games I don't finish... or even approach the 50% mark on.

I'd say about 90% of the games I play I don't reach the 50% mark on. I'm about 25% of the way through Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2, about 10% into Bad Company, about 10% into Wolfenstein (which I just bought), about 5% into Episodes from Liberty City, about 1% into The Saboteur... I've got a bunch of titles from D2D which I haven't even downloaded yet.

Cripes, and here I am complaining about the summer drought? Must be something wrong with me.

It's weird though because I've spent countless hours playing FIFA online - the only game I play on my 360.

I know what you mean. I keep meaning to go through and beat some of these games, but I never get around to it. I started Overlord a few weeks ago, but haven't found time to play a lot of it. Though I'm going to keep it as one of my few games installed until I beat it, or until I pick up Alpha Protocol which will take over my gaming time.

You are absolutely right, that TV is in DEMO mode and it states PC/Input. That has nothing to do with the actual game.

However, I'm hoping like hell it will come out on the PC at some time.

man u sound like me! i also play on fifa ALOT but recently said to myself i will quit playing it for a while so i can finish off the huge backlog of games i got lol

can't wait to play it on my pc :D

In at least six months, if ever.

I'm seriously tempted to get it on the PS3 right now even though, yes, I do remember GTAIV on the consoles vs. the PC version that eventually came out. It wasn't even remotely close.

I'm definitely more than spoiled by the PC. ;)

The accounts I've read say that the game looks and runs much better than GTAIV. Might have to give this a try on the 360.

Yes, some things are worth the wait.
So, in the meantime.... I will try to play and finish some of the other games I have.

I'm happy to wait 6 months for them to do a good job of porting it, the GTA games have always ported well, there was a lot of complaints about GTA IVs cpu usage and about being unoptimised but otherwise all the ports have come out amongst some of the best in the industy.

However, I take the same position on this as I do with Crysis, "lack of optimisation" claims are generally unfounded, the game does a lot with AI and Animation blended with Physics and this stuff takes a lot of CPU power. And it looks great, running over peds who go from walking to rolling over your bonet, and if they're not hurt, stand back up, or grab a hold of the car and you drag them along using ragdols, that's impressive stuff, I think people take that for granted.

RDR looks really good, lets hope the port comes out well.
