Microsoft has posted the minimum and recommended system specs for its cross-platform title ReCore. I am assuming that is a typo in the recommended system specs where it lists an Intel Core i5 45690 processor running at 3.9GHz. I'm guessing they meant a 3.5GHz Intel Core i5 4690 running at it's turbo frequency of 3.9GHz.

Yet probably still W10 exclusive.

Not probably. It explicitly states the minimum requirements are Windows 10.

You would expect Microsoft to want to showcase their latest tech and go eith DX12 though.

Probably no technical reason for this. Just Microsoft continuing to use every single tool in their bucket to coerce users to switch to Windows 10.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made all future versions of all their non OS PC products Windows 10 only.

A core i5 45690 is about 38 generations of intel chips in the future. They're roughly 20% faster than what we have now. They are about 500x more efficient so they're finally competing with mobile chips.

I love the play anywhere stuff that is coming out. I own an XBox One and a gaming PC so, it would be great to just buy the game once and be able to play it on both systems without paying for it twice. On the other hand, I am not in the market for any games at this time.

It is Windows 10 only because it is a play anywhere title. (Xbox and PC, pay once, play anywhere.) Also, an AMD equivalent processor would have to be an overclocked FX 8 core processor to even come close. (Recommended specs.)

I guess.

I just find it an annoyance that anything Xbox is built into Windows.

I haven't owned a console since the 80's and I'm not about to start any time soon.

I wish I could remove the Xbox app and than annoying ass Win+G prompt that comes up every time I run a game.

I don't need or want any Microsoft integration what so ever. I want my PC to stand alone.

XBox App - Settings - Game DVR - Turn off Record game clips and screenshots using Game DVR.

If you want to pick holes the recommended requirements list a Nvidia Geforce 970 or Radeon R9, the slowest of which is the r9 270x. I doubt that is going to cut it at high detail over 720p.

The publishers minimum/recommended specs are always to be taken with a grain of salt anyway, and always have been.

Don't tell that to all the kids who already rated it a 5/5 star game ! Only 3700+ ratings for a game not released yet.

That makes my brain hurt, and is why you can never trust online ratings.

I never read game reviews, or ratings online. I buy games based on my own isolated opinions of what has been good in the past as well as word of mouth recommendation.

Which is just as well, considering how corrupt games journalism is.

Or is that how sexist gamers are. I get confused by all this GamerGate nonsense.

Microsoft means windows store, means closed platform, means not actually a PC release as far as I'm concerned. Which means it can be the best game ever created I'm still not touching it with a 10 feet pole.

Gamergate has been defined as the originator of the "alt-right" by the mainstream media, now. So we're responsible for Donald Trump and Brexit, apparently.

Watched a couple trailers and the gameplay vid and found it not to be of my liking but looked good for those who like this style of play.

I guess you could sort of argue that, but not in the way they are trying to.

GamerGate definitely worked a lot of the SJW's (or as I prefer to call them, the illiberal left, because I honesty believe social justice is an important and good thing, and I don't want to give it a bad name, by using the term for these jerks) out of the woodwork. What before Gamergate was more niche and something you had to go looking for if you wanted to read about it was now blasted out into the open.

The very few young people I know who support Trump say they do so in large part because of the illiberal left and their "trigger warnings", "safe spaces", "micro aggressions", "cultural appropriation" "patriarchy" etc. They say it is a direct response to the illiberal left and their attempt at silencing free speech and the marketplace of ideas.

So, in a way you can get from A to D by going via B and C I guess. To me it really sounds like just another outlet for douchy "mens rights" movement folks who seem more interested in sticking their fingers in the eyes of neo-feminists than they seem interested in actually pursuing any particular political platform.

Its a way to be contrarian. They like Trump because the SJW's hate Trump, so they can troll them, and that's the only reason.

What do you mean by social justice? Because it seems to me that Social justice is inherently unjust. I'd rather call it socialist justice. It basically says punish the successful, and reward the unsuccessful.

By social justice I am referring to actions that make everyone equal under the law, regardless of wealth, race, gender, gender identification, religion or sexuality. They should have the same rights under the law, and the same opportunities to succeed (note that I didn't state the same success, just the same opportunities.) I also consider social justice to include the right to not be discriminated against based on the attributes above.

This is not socialist justice. This is just a matter of decency and humanity.

You can't categorize people that easily. I actually like Trump because I don't think he's as bad as the smear campaigns have made him out to be. And I mostly identify as a Democrat who's for socialized medicine, more worker's rights, higher taxes on those in the 95%+, etc.

I see. And do you think the system discriminates against specific groups of people? And if so can you give examples of that?

I have no problem having this conversation with you, but I think we are WAAAAAY off topic here. Maybe a different thread or PM?

You can't have equal outputs without equal inputs.

preordered that game on the Xbox one, got the free pc version. Waiting for its release
