Hi All,
I need your recommendation for a 550+ PSU for gaming rig (AMD 4000, 2GB RAM, X-Fi sound, SLI GeForce 7800 GT, DFI-LAN DR, 2GB RAM, etc)

Thanks!

guess the ocz powerstream is a great powersupply, I just ordered a 520 watt version for my new system. After reading reviews and peoples comments on it it sounds like one of the better ones out there. 5 year warranty too.

My suggestions would be the Fortron/Sparkle 550w units, Seasonic S12 600w, OCZ PS520, Zippy over 500w, PC P&C 510w, or the Enhance/Silverstone/Akasa 650w unit.

Hi, I gotta question. As long as the power supply has dual +12v rails totaling over 30A it is good for SLI right? Even tho it is only 400w psu?

yes this is almost the same question i wanted to ask....only i'm looking in the range of 500+
dual +12 means it is enabled SLI PSU right?

no dual 12V does not mean SLI. any psu can be an SLI psu, its just whether or not it can handle it. The PC power cooling 510 SLI only has a single 12V rail yet its the best SLI psu out there. some psu's use multiple rails to not put too much stress on one rail but if you've got a top notch psu w/ one 12v rail thats better then a crappy one with multiple rails.

I use the OCZ 600w Powerstream powers everything in my sig no problem.
