Recommend SFF case that keeps things cool.

Hello folks,

I'm looking for a small form factor case that's very good at keeping the internals cool. As someone who used Shuttle cases for years, I've never been very impressed with their performance. The CPU runs hot and the GPU even hotter.

I'm looking for a case that's smaller than your regular mid-tower, so something relatively portable, but that also would keep hardware cool enough to last for years. I'm currently planning to slap the following into it:

Intel i5 2500K
4G DDR3
GTX 460 1G

What would you recommend?

Thank you!!

FT03 would fit the bill, it's it's not "relatively portable," due to it's construction (though it's probably the smallest footprint for this matter). Silverstone's other mATX designs come within micrometers of slaughtering CPU cooling, HOWEVER, SB runs extremely cool compared to the heat loving i7 930 I used to have, so maybe a SG03/04??

I hear good things about Lian Li and SilverStone, maybe I'll look into that SG04! Would that be the coolest of SilverStone SFF offerings?

I just put together a similar setup as u have into a SG03. have my 2500k at 4.3 and never goes above 50c with a h50 cooling it. did get up to 60 something when doing the intel burn test tho.

The SG03 is fairly easy to tote around for its size. If you don't like the look of, or the handle on the SG04 just get an SG03 and a harness for it. Geargrip makes a couple that will work. Its what I use.
