Recommend Me A Good Modular PSU

that ones decent, but the one I posted is better quality and has more Watts.

Anyone got a recommendation for something equally as good or better then the one I posted ?

That OCZ isn't that much better than the Antec as evidenced by the HardOCP review of its 700W brother.

Also if you stop looking at the wattage like a noob and look at the +12V amperage like a well-informed enthusiast, the Antec actually provides more power +12V rail. The Antec Basiq provides 44A on the +12V rail while the OCZ has 42A on the +12V rail. Considering that a majority of computer hardware draws power from the +12V rail, the Antec Basiq is still a better choice than the OCZ.

Not to mention that the Basiq PSU is made by Delta, a more reputable PSU manufacturer than Sirfa, the people who made that OCZ PSU.

So for all intents and purposes, that Antec Basiq is better than the OCZ: Offers more power, $15 cheaper, and better quality.

However if you want significantly better quality and even more power, then I'd recommend this PSU:
$100 - Antec Truepower New TP-650 650W PSU

Or for more modular cables, this Coolermaster PSU is decent:

Either PSUs will be of far better quality than the OCZ ModXStream

Ok. Fine. What are you looking for in a PSU?

Unless you're looking for a PSU to power an Athlon XP rig from 2001, combined +12V output is more important than the PSU's total wattage rating.

I'm looking at Everything, not just the wattage. I want something thats going to support everything i put into my rig, and everything that i put into it in the future, and I want it to do it safely and efficently and i want something modular because i like the cable management they provide...I'm not some Mr.Wizard of Computers lol and i don't claim to be, but I'm definitely not a noob.. I kno that the 12v is really important.

so heres the specs on the OCZ PSU I posted the link to - +3.3V@25A,+5V@25A,+12V1@25A,+12V2@25A,-12V@0.3A, +5VSB@2.5A

what do you think ?

Danny already commented on that earlier. Just go back and read his post. It has all the info you need about that PSU.

I also second Danny's PSU suggestions. There currently aren't any better deals for modular PSUs in the wattage range you're looking at than the ones he posted.

Just to clarify why I assumed you were a noob when it came to PSUs is this one statement:

That's typical of what many people who are noobs when it comes to PSUs tends to say when they haven't looked at the differences in amperage.

yea i can totally see where that came off like that, but i didn't mean it to sound that way, so honest mistake on both are parts lol thanks for the info on the PSU i posted and the recommendation you gave me !

Didn't see if it was mentioned earlier or in the links, but I suggest the Corsair HX series. They're pretty much in all of my main builds and running great (My i7 rig = HX1000, my Arch Linux NAS box = HX620, Dad's gaming-quality Phenom II Black Edition rig = HX620 )
