Need laptop for basic things such as email, surfing web, music ect. dont need tons of storage space. Win 7 at least 15 inch screen, lightweight, good brand with quality long lasting laptop. Want it to be quick but around 400-500. What do yall recommend for quality product? I notice several people mentioned the probook. Any good deals going on now? Thanks!

Check my for sale thread and let me know if it interests you.

strange thought they worked
oh well, Lenovo G series, Asus K series, IBM B series and Samsung 5 series
newegg and ncix should have them reasonably priced.

Which out of those is best in the 400-range? I dont need a graphics gpu, but I would like an SSD drive win7 good amount of memory & at least dual to quad core and also 15.6 inch screen & quality laptop with no bloatware. I know a lot of them are crammed with it. Whats best as far as amd or intel for Laptops?

For your need, I recommend Lenovo G570 4334DDU laptop., it features i5 processor,, 4GB ram which can satisfy your needs well, and the price is under $500. You can see it on amazon or newegg.

The Acer AMD series would be your highest hits on searches, and they are fairly decent overall. Check the Dell Outlet for deals too.

well im not looking for used...doesnt need to be a gaming machine either.. Just for basic tasks web browsing, email, music, video. Thinking at least dual core, with good amount of memory & at least an SSDdrive, 15 inch screen, lightweight

For 500$ you can get a lightweight portable machine, I would recommend a Toshiba r835, very nice little machine.

forget all of the above if you are still looking and go straight to the Hot Deals section and look into the Dell Inspiron 15z special edition thread..
