Just built my new rig.I tried to install my Adobe soft. After Effects,Premiere Pro,Encore. Each time I get Visual C++ Runtime library error.
I already tried to reinstall Windows again but still, same thing.

Please,please I need help,I need to work.

please post the specs of your rig, and the OS you are using.

but I'm gonna make an educated guess and say you're on XP SP2 because Premiere won't run on lesser OS's.

So try this:

1. Open My Computer.

2. Right-click the disc drive from which you are attempting to install.

3. If there is an option to "Use with DLA", deselect it.

4. Click OK to apply the changes.

5. Restart your computer.

If that doesnt' work try this:

1. Open My Computer.

2. Right-click the disc drive from which you are attempting to install.

3. Select Properties.

4. Select the DLA tab.

5. Deselect "Enable DLA on your drives."

6. Click OK to apply the changes.

7. Restart your computer.

And if THAT doesn't work, create a new administrator account and install premiere from there.

Yes I have XP SP2.

I'll try everything what you say when I get home from work.
If this is going to work I'll give you kiss. :D

I'm, just frustrated.Never had a problem like that on my old rig.

Thank you very much.I'll let you know.

it SHOULD work - that's a fairly common error for a premiere/AA install when DLA is turned on.

On the side, nice to see someone else who uses Premiere instead of Avid/Pinnacle ;)

Thanks, can I write you back in case it wont work??
I am going home in 3 hours.

I like premiere.
And now using Premiere and After Effects is easy to switch between applications which is better than before when I had to save it as uncompressed AVI file each time I wanted to switch between those two.
:)

sure, here or PM, either way.

I like Premiere too. I have Avid Liquid 7 as well (which is really Pinnacle's software) and have used Media Composer and Newscutter, along with several other lesser known NLE's and quite frankly Premiere is a lot easier to use and is just as powerful. If they'd just build in broadcast server support they could be a real contender with the big boys in the industry.
