It's been such a long time since I've been here on [H]ardForums and much longer since I've done a computer related mod of any sort. Lately I've been in the car scene, and have learned a lot to do my own car modifications like painting using a professional setup.
I've just learned how to do carbon fiber overlaying and would like to share with everyone here. Using real carbon fiber of course! No vinyl is involved here.
So today we will use my old, and super ancient antique of a mouse for this. What is it you may ask? It's a worn MX700 wireless mouse. It has seen better days, especially when it was fresh and brand new. Today it sits unused, with worn paint from over use in the past.
Not very pretty is it? That will all change very soon!
For the longest I have thought of doing something to this mouse to give it a new look. Even though I could paint it and thought of doing so, it just didn't feel like it would be that much of a change. So in popped the idea of using carbon fiber and clear epoxy to make it look more interesting.
This is just an idea thread for now until I start the project. It should take 1 week or less to complete depending on how nice you would like it to look. Best of all this can be done at home!
With carbon fiber you'll gain +100HP for FPS responsiveness and accurate head shots in games guaranteed! LoL
So let me know what you guys think. Is it cool? Or is it lame?

Obligatory before picture of my worn mouse...Yes I've neglected it so badly.
This space will be used for future images so stay tuned!
