Hey, any of you guys using Rawshooter Essentials with Neat Image? I've found that when I create a jpeg with of Rawshooter, Neat Image is unable to match the profile and I have to do it myself. Maybe it's a problem with the profile I created?

Using version 5 of Neat Image Pro +, Rawshooter 1.1.2 and a 20D

for starters you should probably be using TIFF's or something else thats not lossy with neat image. If you are giving it jpegs that adds extra noise and lossy coding into the image.

RawShooter Essentials performs some sort of noise-reduction already (Zoom in 100% and push the Exposure Compensation up a bit). I can see it kick in at around ISO 400 or so with my Digital Rebel. By the time you're at ISO 800 and pushing 3 stops though (ISO 6400), it's NR appears to do a pretty good job and amazingly you can recover quite a bit of image detail that way.

That said I have no idea if you can disable it, and if so whether or not RSE + NeatImage / NoiseNinja produces better results...

One more thing people say it performs automatially is some lens corrections. I'm not completely sure if that is true or not, but either way I never really notice the CA from my 85mm f/1.8.
