I've gotten quite a few collectors editions for games and i have to say that Fallout3's CE is ranking up there quite a bit.

1. Lunchbox.. great job , works excellent as a display item on the shelf - its a cheap box but the art and printing are well done. and the sleeve over hte box is a nice touch for those who'd rather have it on.

2. the Bobble head.. A little cheap in the construction but a great addition. I personally wont' display it but its a classic addition, and i love the reference to it in the game..(Bobble head syringe if i remember right lol)

3. the Art Book.. very well done, not some cheap paper back either, nice hard bound but a little small (to fit in the box). great pictures.. good clean / professional look

4. Making of DVD . kindof a waste , at least for me, probably would have been better to include it in a CD-jewel case or something like that. the Paper sleeve is a little cheap . But i personally will probably never watch it.

All in all i have to say its a great CE. I've gotten the SWG-CE, Jedi Outcast, World in Conflict and a few others and this one ranks right up as one of the best. i can't comment on the amazon version but the regular one is well worth it if you can get it.

I'm not into Fallout enough to warrant buying the CE but I was pretty impressed by it. So far my personal favourite was the Tabula Rasa CE (packed with stuff, great attention to detail, pity about the game). Crysis was easily the worst, since it was virtually nothing more than a regular edition (at least the US version was, because I think some other territories at least got a tin box).
I'm less a fan of hardback books in CEs just because they just make the box heavier and make you think there's more in it than there is (the Warhammer CE is a prime example of that).

Got My CE, I display it prowdly:D, I love the art book. 9.5.

Definitely agree it's a well done CE. One of my favorites. My least favorite CE was Oblivion.

That's the survival edition and it's a lot more expensive. I have the CE and it was worth every penny. The bobblehead is on my desk at work and the lunch box is on the shelf behind my desk.

Ah, only saw regular version and CE version at my store so bought just the regular version. Wouldn't mind having a Pipboy clock radio though.

A little out of topic but the worst CE was the half life one. Sure it had a Tshirt in it but the whole package was just cheap.

As for fallout3, I still have not bought it but it looks great and very old school.

The ones I like and have are all the Guild Wars CEs, very nice indeed.
