Hey guys,

I got a GTX 460 768MB (stock) over Christmas and put it into my PC once I came back to university after the Christmas break.

I had it and my 8800GTS 640MB (G80) installed at once to power 3 screens as before I had a 8800GTS and 8500GT to do that job and figured I might as well keep the highest powered componets.

However soon after testing the system it started to do very strange things.

Random blue screens, shut downs, stalling at the windows 7 loading screen and never booting to the login and my SAS controller on my board refusing to see my 2nd SAS drive.

Some of these issues were fixed by unplugging all my of drives apart from my OS SAS drive and just the 460 - and I've managed to run it stable recently with 3 other drives.

I had 9 Drives in total, 2 of them 15,500RPM SAS drives.

My powersupply is a 800W meh brand.

Any chance it could be the PSU not being able to cope?
 
Sounds very likely it's the PSU from the symptoms and steps describe.
 
Yeah ): I'm flat broke right now and can't afford a new PSU, darn it.

I do have a spare 500W... any way I could jerry rig that to turn on and power just the 460?
