I know people have talked about this before.. but i coudln't fid any threads that answer my question...

has anyone used RAM sinks on their vid card.. and did it actually improve anything?

people use them all the time, mostly, they dont do much exept look cool, but if you have a fan blowing over your card or have really hot chips, they can help some for overclocking.
i have some OCZ copper ramsinks on my 9800pro, they get pretty damn hot, so i guess they are working, and they look damn nice.
i dont overclock my card tho.

when I threw some on my 9800pro I think it gave me an extra 4mhz overclock, or 8mhz ddr. Which is like what an extra .25fps or something, up to you to decide if you wanna spend the $10 for em

More cooling is never a bad thing though

My RAM on my 9800 PRO is rated for 360MHz (720MHz DDR). It's 2.8ns. It's running at 400MHz (800MHz) DDR. I use OCZ Copper RAM sinks, and they get real warm.

I definitely think they are helping :)
