Sorry if this has been discussed but I can't find a for sure answer.

Its my kids Bday and he has saved up for a decent tablet. The problem is he wants to download Fortine which requires 3GB of RAM.

My wife keeps saying the new ipad 9.7 will work and I say she is wrong.

Apple is advertising this to have 16GB of RAM which I just simply do not believe. I think they are talking about internal memory and not actual RAM.

I would absolutely love to be wrong here so please let me know if I am.

On a side note. Is there a tablet for $400 or less that actually has 4GB of RAM or better?

There is definitely not 16GB of memory in the iPad. That was probably copied/pasted from an older 16GB of storage model.
