Ram upgrade worth it?

Hey my first post :)

I have a:
Amd 2200+ XP
1gig ddr266 (pc2100)
Radeon 9800 pro
120gig hd

My mother board (K7s6a) can apparently support ddr333 (pc2700), so my main question is would I see an increase in performance by switching to 1gig ddr333? Would the performance gain be worth it, considering 1gig of generic ddr333 is about £60.

Edit:After a quick bit of shopping around I found: Corsair 1GB DDR Value Select PC2700 CAS2.5 for £70

If I were you I would keep saving my money and buy a new processor and some ValueRAM.

btw: do not get generic brand RAM, you'll be sorry, trust me.

I don't think you'd see a massive performance difference. You'd be paying too much and not getting a lot of performance out of it.

Yup, keep saving and do a CPU upgrade. You won't notice a difference doing the memory alone. Bump that XP up to a 3000 and you'll notice a difference though.
