Ram speeds improving Bulldozer ?

Seems like it .

Many reviews out there used ddr 3 1333mhz like the hardocp review , but bulldozer is to be paired with ddr 3 1866 .

So going from ddr 3 1333mhz to 2133mhz

x264 8.3% increase first pass

crysis 2 -4.3 % on the minmum FPS and 5.9% increase on the maximum

l4d 2 5.12% increase

it will be interesting to see how other tests are affected.
 
single digit increases in percentage performance are par-for-the-course when going from 1333 mhz to 2133 mhz on any CPU.

It makes exactly no practical difference. Better spend the extra money on A BETTER PROCESSOR.

We get it already, you don't need to keep spouting your anti-AMD sentiments.

And don't you have the slightest bit of curiosity at all? What's wrong with wanting to know more? And it may end up having a bigger affect than was predicted. I'm not all the hopeful, but you never know. Of course, it still won't be able to match up to Sandy Bridge, but it might bring it closer.

We selected the following dividers :
1333Mhz CL8-8-8-24 1T
1600Mhz CL8-8-8-24 1T
2133Mhz CL8-8-8-24 1T

This to get an idea if there's an absolute minimum ram speed required to get good performance. And to check whether high speed rams or even overclocking your kit is really beneficial. CPu is run at stock speeds , just the different ram divider selected.

CPU running at 4.5Ghz, rams at 2133Mhz speeds, NB at stock 2200Mhz. RAM timings tested are :
