RAID write block size ?

Hey guys, does it matter what I set my RAID block size to? Is more or less better for different applications?

It will be a RAID 0 setup and have the OS running on it. I can go anywhere from 4kb to 128kb per block. These are Raptors I am working with, if it matters.

It sure does mattter. Back when I believed in RAID0, experimented until I found the best one. I think I was using 32k or 64k.
 
What drives were you using and what OS? Could that make a difference too? For example, would I want different sizes for FAT32 vs. NTFS since they write information quite differently?
 
As Met-al stated, back when I bought into the RAID scene, I was using 64k striping as well. I did some tests and found that 64 gave me the best performance...but depending on your usage, it may vary. It's been a while since I ran RAID0 with my 2 Raptors, so I'm not remembering too well. I'll try to find the site that lists the sizes and when they are best.
