RAID losing sync? Defragging the cure?

Recently on a cold boot up when I get home from work I have been
getting memory dumps. Blue screen of death is what I hear some say.

Whats weird is it always boots on the second try. It do several hours
of Prime 95, 10 rounds of Intel burn, runs PhotoShop effortlessly, and
it games like mad. The system seems stable.

Now, I also notice a program or to missing. This leads me to believe
my RAID is losing sync. Is this possible? I did my 1st ever defrag
and now it boots up normally. What does all this mean? These two
Raptors are 300gig in RAID 0 and are now turning 16 months old.
A bad HD? Time to sync the RAID and reinstall the OS???

Or do I have other issues?

RAID (even raid 0) does not get out of sync normally. If it is corruption something else is causing it.

A bad HD?

Possibly. Check the event logs. Check the smart data.
