Is it possible to raid 2 different Brands of SSD say Corsair and a G.Skill same size and same controller? I'm a little green when it comes to SSDs

RAID and different brands of SSD

I don't see why not, really. Not like the drives will even be aware that they are in RAID.
well it might result in performance issue, if let say one drive has GC and the other does not. Only way to know for sure is to try it. Raid them run some benchmarks, use them for a bit and see how they work. Generally it's not recommended to mismatch drives in raid setups.
