but from a simple "faster": The Raptor spins at 10000, while the RAID only goes 7200.

Assuming spherical hard disks in a vacuum, they'll both fall at the same speed. With air resistance, I think the single Raptor will fall faster, especially if you drop the RAID card with the other 2 disks.

You sir are incorrect, the new raptor has ribbed sides, leading to greater air resistance. The two single raptors can make a V formation, easily cutting through the air, even with the raid card sitting in the V. Jeez man, learn your physaks.
