which would be faster?

2 80gig 7200rpm drives in raid 0

or

1 150gig raptor 10000rpm

it would depend on the application.

but from a simple "faster": The Raptor spins at 10000, while the RAID only goes 7200.

Look for benchies posted here and on other forums. You should easily find tests of both.

RAID0 Raptors FTW.
... and this answers the given question, how?

The single Raptor will be faster in most single-user apps, almost certainly including games.

Assuming spherical hard disks in a vacuum, they'll both fall at the same speed. With air resistance, I think the single Raptor will fall faster, especially if you drop the RAID card with the other 2 disks.

I'd stick with the single Raptor

You sir are incorrect, the new raptor has ribbed sides, leading to greater air resistance. The two single raptors can make a V formation, easily cutting through the air, even with the raid card sitting in the V. Jeez man, learn your physaks.
