Raffle anyone ?

At $10 a shot, I'd take a chance on it. Of course, I wouldn't win, but you can't win if you don't play....

Second that. I'd probably be "in" also.

I would be in, but we need more people to pitch in at 10 duckets a pop

Why the Mobile CPU?
Just a guess, but overclocking headroom comes to mind... I know the RAM will take it; running two sticks of it now, just not sure about the board. Never OC'd on that board before, but if it works, it works! Also, the price point of the CPU (factoring in OC) is excellent.

Definately best bet for Overclocking (unlocked Mutliplier and generally nice ability to overclock with FSB increase).

Also, I've usually been able to maintain lower voltages with a very good overclock, which means less stress on the processor and a lower power bill.

I'd probably be in. At $10 a shot, thats not too bad for the chance of winning some decent stuff. I need some stuff to replace my dad's comp anyhow (1GHz Athlon, 256mb PC100, Radeon 9500 Pro, SB Live).

Sure, I'm in for $10-$20. Was wondering if it needs to be cleared with Steve/Kyle/Relic?? ;)

I'm going to send a PM to Kyle to make sure. I dont see a problem as there is no profit to be made and the product will be from a site that advertises here.

i doubt that board will work in dual channel mode with that ram, its really flakey. i'd suggest the shuttle nforce2 motherboard, cheaper and leaner, better OCer too from what i've seen.

You definatly gotta get in touch with Kyle. Assuming you have seent eh CPU giveaway is organizing, I had to get permission from him before I coudl even set it up. He made it very clear everyone had to know [H] was not affialated. I would throw in for a raffle, but ATM any spare cash I have is going towards some CPU's for folders. Nice idea though.

still waiting on a response from Kyle.

My selections were based on performance for dollar and I chose an mATX for a broader range of applications along with a board that had onboard everything with an ability to OC.

How many times did you Email Kyle? When I set up my CPU contest, after a week of waiting, I Emailed his a 2nd time and got a responce the next day.
