Hawt.

And not too long :)

Looks like maybe 10.5" or 11" from what I can tell.

What does everyone else think?

Think this has been posted before, but MAN they are HUGE!

Sweet, but the pics are blurred, like it's been photoshopped (noob talking here)

even if those are the real cards the pictures are so chopped up that most people would dismiss them otherwise. Ive seen better chops done in MS paint.

The chopping seems more of a result of getting rid of the identification than coming up with a random picture. AMD wrote crap all over the cards at CeBIT so they could identify any leaks.

Chop as in photoshop job?

Looks neat, come March 30th soon and some benchies with it!

woa!
appearently stalker has a videocard recommondation of
GF8800 series, ATI X2800 or X2900 series

X2800 and X2900 0.0?

It is still smaller tha the GF8800GTX.

The pictures we are about to display were a nightmare to edit – the brand name was labeled literally 50 – 60 times all over the card by an overprotective AMD and ATI but we managed to smudge it all out and it will forever remain a mystery as to who supplied the pictures to us – so, don’t ask because we won’t be telling!

That card is said to be the X2900XTX but the 80nm version.
It is 9.5" and use GDDR 3 ram and is the one to be released in mid April.
The new version built on 65nm and GDDR 4 will come later, no word on how much later though.

The 80nm version is said to have a core speed of 800mhz and is about 200-300 points faster than 8800GTX in 3dMark-06

According to The Inq the release party will be in Tunisia - Africa on the 23rd to 24th of April and it will be a release of the whole next gen series.

This is just bits and pieses I picked up around the net so take it with a bag of salt.

Was there ever an announcement on whether the R600 will support the 2+1 and 1+1 physics solution? I forgot what it was called, but I remember seeing a press release last year saying x1xx series cards could be used as a PPU alongside future generation cards. e.g., Crossfire x2xxx with one x1xxx as a PPU, or one x2xxx and an x1xxx.

So what then is the word on street of the 2900XTX compared to 8800GTX, like 10-20% faster or are we talking big time increase like 50%+ ? Also taking that to note what will the 8800Ultra due out right after the R600 bring, just match the R600 speed, or be slightly behind it ?

Well, considering ATI is naming it the X2900XTX, I'd assume that they're very confident with the card. As if it was just on par with the 8800, they'd name it the 2800xtx.

Only the people who work @ AMD/ATI know that for now. Wait for the real benchies and dont give second thought on fake benchmarks floating around the net.

Think we have to wait for the release to find out how good this card actually is, no-one knows for now.

looks like they blurred everything they could including the model number, only to show off the retail flame job.

hmm seems the bolt pattern is the same as X1800/X1900/X1950 cards. looks like i don't have to sell my maze4 gpu block after all :D

Look at the third picture though, they didn't do a great "blur" job. Just above the primary cooler bracket it says TUL; ie Powercolor. Wonder if ATI is mad with them, or if this more of an unofficial marketing ploy...

Edit: Watercooled version at VR as well: http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=4854

I've been waiting for reviews of this card, and will continue to wait until that occurs. Blurring these pictures tells us NOTHING.. Thats right... NOTHING. It's worthless. Ohhh I see a fan on a red pcb. Thats it.

I'm not sure why sites and people get estatic over blurred out, tell us nothing pictures, but more power to them.

Actually the pictures can tell you quite a bit. more useful are the pictures of the underside, or obviously with the HSF removed. Length, max power requirements, memory capacity and layouts are useful to know. However at this point in time they aren't telling us very much we didn't already know.

Those pictures are so fake that I just threw up all over my screen.

Thanks for the post though, I enjoy more pictures, even if they aren't real.

What's so fake about them? I don't see any obvious chopping, the details seem to line up and all of the identification seems to be blurred. And considering the cards at CeBIT looked just like the pictures what makes you think they are fake?

Because they LOOK fake. It's not only the identification... everything except the underside of the board has this weird gausian thing going on. Everything looks like it was blured enough so you can't tell that it's fake.
It just doesn't look real, looks like my neice did a crappy water color and I tapped a picture of the underside of a pci-e card over it.

Like I said, thanks for the pictures because I appreciate you guys feeding my lust for knowledge... but they still look fake. :p

Look at the white edge near the right side of the first pic on this thread....

Why is there a white edge? if they were blurring, they;d just use the blur tool. this looks like it was cut out from somewhere else, and pasted on.

No, it looks like there was something painted over in that portion of the image. You can see the same thing done in the other pictures. Looks like they didn't want to reveal whatever was in those areas.

HURRY UP with this card already!

I'm running my 226bw with a 32mb Matrox PCI card waiting for this damned thing! :D

Nice to see pics, whether they're fake or not, but like some else said, "Pictures are nothing, we want to see some tests/benchmarks". Up to this point it's all speculation as far as performance goes. Oh well, less than a month to go...
